Session Overview

  1. Scripture Reading (10 minutes)

  2. Reflection Questions (10 minutes)

  3. Action Points (10 minutes)

1. Scripture Reading (10 minutes)

Read the Following Passages:

  1. Hebrews 3:12-13 (NKJV)
"Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God..."

  2. Exodus 3:11-12 (NKJV)
"But Moses said to God, 'Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?' So He said, 'I will certainly be with you…'"

  3. Isaiah 6:1-5 (NKJV)
"In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up... 'Woe is me, for I am undone!'"

  4. Luke 5:8 (NKJV)
"When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, 'Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!'"

  5. Acts 5:1-5 (NKJV)
"But a certain man named Ananias... kept back part of the proceeds... Peter said, 'Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit?'"

2. Reflection Questions (10 minutes)

Reflect on the following questions based on the readings:

  1. Understanding Unbelief: What does Hebrews 3:12-13 teach you about the dangers of unbelief? How can this apply to your life?

  2. Identity in God: In Exodus 3, Moses questions his identity. How do you see your own identity in relation to God's calling? Do you ever doubt God’s purpose for you?

  3. God’s Holiness: After Isaiah’s vision, he is overwhelmed by God’s holiness. How does this passage challenge your perception of who God is?

  4. Responding to God: Peter's response to Jesus' miracle was one of humility and recognition of sin. How do you respond to God when He works in your life?

  5. Integrity in Faith: What can you learn from Ananias and Sapphira's story about honesty and integrity in your faith journey? What are the consequences of dishonesty?

3. Action Points (10 minutes)

Take time to consider how you can apply what you've learned:

  1. Identify Unbelief: Write down any areas of your life where you struggle with unbelief. Pray about these areas and ask God to help you overcome them.

  2. Seek Your Identity: Spend a few minutes journaling about who you believe God has called you to be. What steps can you take to embrace that identity?

  3. Embrace God’s Holiness: This week, find a quiet moment to reflect on God’s holiness. Consider how this understanding affects your daily life and decisions.

  4. Cultivate Humility: Make a conscious effort this week to respond with humility in situations where you feel challenged. Seek to acknowledge God’s work in your life openly.

  5. Practice Integrity: Identify one specific area where you can be more honest in your faith and relationships. Commit to taking action in that area this week.

Closing Prayer

End your session with a prayer asking God to help you embrace His true nature, to overcome any unbelief, and to live out your faith with integrity and humility.

Reflection for the Week

Consider keeping a journal this week to track how God is revealing Himself to you. Reflect on your experiences and any changes in your heart and mind as you engage with these foundational truths.
